Okay. It’s been 2 weeks since The News dropped. So this is real, right? We can all agree this is real, right? We’re getting a new Rhythm Heaven? Sorry, the site has been nothing but RHG lately. Wait why am I apologizing, this is big news of course I’m not gonna shut up about this. Anyways, we have a year until the game drops. Hopefully we get a release date soon, I’d like to do something leading up to the release. Let’s spend this next year preparing, shall we? We can start with analyzing the RHG trailer!
First thing we see, this cute thing! I think they’re a little robot. I love robots. The way they dress reminds me of a little kid playing pretend or something. Something very surprising about this character is that they actually have a voice! Well, it seems to be text to speech. It reminds me of the voices from the Tomodachi Life series! What a coincidence! I wonder whats with this choice? Very very interesting...the closest we ever got to this was vocal songs, audio cues in mini games, and I suppose that one line from the Bandleader in Frog Hop (since it’s not really an audio cue). This character mentions that the game doesn’t have a “big epic story” which kind of disappoints me. Just a little. I like what little story there is in these games, so I was hoping they’d take another shot at the story mode. Oh well, I’m fine with this.
RoboKid (I will be calling them this since we don’t have a name yet) kindly guides us through what will be the tutorial level. In this, we are introduced to...uh...These Guys? Hah hah, just kidding. They’re so cute though. I love them so much. Are these guys supposed to resemble the Chorus Kids? Both seem to be very popular. They’re so so cute!!!!!! I’m going to have “pa pi pu pe po” stuck in my head for a while I think. The music is also very nice. Not much to say though, since it’s only a tutorial level.
AAAAAHH SO CUTE!!!! A bunch of maneki nekos hopping around…so cute… although, one of them looks more like a bear… oh, sorry, I’m getting distracted. This mini game reminds me of Flipper-flop or Shrimp Shuffle.
Not a lot to say on this one. No offense, but it doesn’t look particularly interesting. Just a bunch of ducks flying in the sky.
Now THIS one looks fun! The movement of this little hammer dude looks very energetic and fun. I want to crush cans with a big hammer!! Totally excited. I wonder what the music for this one will be? Whenever I look at this, I can only imagine Screwbot Factory’s music or something like that. Also vague soda brand exists big day for meeeeeee.
RHYTHM HEAVEN COOKING MINIGAME!!!!!! HOORAY!!!!!! I’ve wanted something like this for a while now!!! Rhythm Heaven has had one cooking themed remix AND a chef character, but no cooking mini games! Glad they’re finally doing this. Love the cat. I wonder how this one will play. I noticed that there’s a lot of space on the right side of the screen. I wonder what it will be used for. Maybe a giant ingredient like a watermelon will be thrown on screen and you have to catch that?
A cute looking jump rope game! I’m going to be honest, I didn’t notice the bottle character at first. It’s so tiny!!!! Both the bottle and the jump rope character are cute. Again, there’s a bunch of empty space on the right side of the screen, what’s with that?? I hope there’s a game play reason for this, the empty space is bothering me….
Little guys!!!! These little critters look like stereotypical aliens or maybe video game slimes. We’ve got two funny sphere creatures with only a pair of legs in this game. Maybe more. I like how they move, it’s nice. Looks like it’ll be fun.
This one wasn’t included in the trailer, it was from a post on Nintendo’s website. We’ve got a buff dude on a tropical island with fruit flying in the air and a seagull playing ukulele in the background. Yep, sounds par for the course. Reminds me of Dog Ninja. Are we going to be punching the fruit?
The final shot in this game is a duck, RoboKid, and a little dog running across the screen. I’m curious about this little dog. Who is this? There’s not a lot of dogs in Rhythm Heaven, and this little fella looks a lot like the Barista. Are they related? I doubt it honestly. The only similarity is that they’re both little white dogs. Though, this little puppy does make me worry. But of course, I don’t think there should be worry. Barista has been in these games ever since the start! And there’s always room for more than one little white dog in these games! I want to know more about this puppy…
Anyways, that’s all I have to say. A year… A whole year… Argh! I can’t wait that long! I’m thinking of updating the site. I’ll add some little extra stuff for people to enjoy and maybe some character shrines. I’m reluctant to put a lot of my work on here, but I’m also a firm believer that creating things and sharing those creations are a great way of showing your love for something. Anyways, let’s stay strong for 2026! See ya later!
Notice: This post was written a couple months before the March 2025 direct. At the time of writing this, we were all still waiting for the new game.
Hello! First new post in a long time! The last one was...almost two years ago. Wow! Today I thought I’d write something simple: Why I like Rhythm Heaven.
I’ve been a fan for four years now. It started after I saw Rhythm Refresh by Chongo Show on YouTube (Warning for some strong language). I really like his mashups and this one did not disappoint. I remember I was curious on how the mini games worked, so I looked up Rockers on the (now defunct) Rhythm Heaven Wikia. The page was normal, but I somehow ended up on the characters page and was surprised to find out that they had a backstory! From what I knew, these games were only short mini games. Where could you possibly insert a backstory? I got curious and looked around the other character pages. I was surprised about how much stories and lore were in these games. It’s not a lot — definitely not as extensive as most video games — but I was still surprised. I ended up looking into the games themselves and got really into the world of Rhythm Heaven.
I just realized that whoever is reading might not be acquainted with Rhythm Heaven. I wrote a very short description about it on the about page, but if you need a better description: Rhythm Heaven is a series of rhythm mini game compilations. The mini games have a variety of themes and mechanics. They’re well known for their quirkiness but can also be challenging at times. Mini games like Ringside and Glee Club have made the serious well known online through memes; you most likely have seen one before! However, I feel like I should also mention that there is little lore for the games and all lore is only brought up in supplementary material (in-game rewards, promotional comics, official websites, etc). I should also mention that the main reason I like these games is because of the lore.
Because the backstories for these games are so short and don’t have too much information, you’re kind of left with some questions. What is the purpose of those widgets? Who is the mysterious tipster in Police Call? Why did Megamix make Rhythm Heaven and Heaven World separate things? Why are there so many (cute) monkeys??? These questions started running around in my mind and it ended up being fun to come up with explanations for these. The creators most likely did not plan on having detailed and carefully written backstories for these games, so it was fun to go nuts with headcanons. That’s also why I love the fandom so much. Really, being in the Rhythm Heaven fandom has been the most fun I’ve experienced in fandom in a long time. I like seeing other people’s different interpretations of the same characters. It makes the original material feel fresh every time. Plus, because of how small the fandom is, seeing new fan fiction (and fan works in general) feels a lot more special.
This may seem unnecessarily sappy, but Rhythm Heaven did change my life in a weird way. I won’t get into it, but I’m grateful for it. I really really like these games, I hope we get a new one soon! But, it’s been almost 9 years since Megamix came out and it’s been 18 years since the series started. I think the fandom will still stay afloat no matter what. Thank you for reading. ( ´ ꒳ ` )
WHOOOOAAAAA HI EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!! It sure has been a while, huh? Well, its November 3rd, 2023, and “Warioware Move it!” has just came out. This one should be a short one, because I’m not here to talk about the actual game or anything, I’m here to talk about, of course, the Rhythm Heaven references in the game! Now, I could just talk about all of the references in the series, but those have already been talked about to death. Besides, I’m just really excited about this. ^_^
Also, I do not own a copy of “Warioware Move It!” at the moment, so most of this is comes from gameplay uploaded online and information from the wiki.
Also, just to let you know, this post will contain HUGE SPOILERS FOR WARIOWARE MOVE IT!!!! PROCEED IF YOU DARE!!!!!!

Alright, let’s just get this out of the way. First reference we’ll be talking about is in the cut scene for Dribble and Spitz’ stage, where the Barista, Reporter and Wrestler can be seen in the background. Obviously this is to be expected. These three have made appearances in the Warioware series before, even in the previous entry of “Warioware Get it Together!”.
Image taken from Zephial810’s video of all the cutscenes.
And now, the one I myself am particularly excited about, the appearance of Cicada!! Who’s Cicada? Well you’ve seen her before if you’ve played Rhythm Heaven Fever.
← THAT’S Cicada! Yes, that’s right! She’s the girl from Kung Fu Ball in Rhythm Heaven Fever! She’s been a part of the Warioware lore since her debut in RHF, where she is shown training with Young Cricket. After that, she appeared again in Warioware Get it Together. However, This is quite big news, because she now has a name!
This is HUGE!!!! Not a lot of Rhythm Heaven characters have names, so this is awesome to see!!
Anyways that’s it! Yes, seriously. I told you this would be a short one. I wish I had the new Warioware game! Its like 50 USD though -_- I think I might do some new updates to this site, I’ve suddenly regain a bit of interest in Rhythm Heaven. I havent been that interested in it for a while because I suddenly got obsessed with my own original characters and stories. I think I might make a shrine for you-know-who (if you don’t check the fav character section of the favorites page). Anyways, thats all for now! Til next time!!

Hey everyone! I'm back! I'm here to talk about more Rhythm Heaven websites! let's first talk about the North American Rhythm Heaven website that was madefor the DS game. You may have noticed I didn't put this site on the links page, despite it being saved on the Wayback Machine. That's because the site unfortunately does not work. It seems to have ran almost entirely on Flash player. Thankflly, I managed to find some screenshots online of the site! My sources include Long Tran on Behance and Peter Michaud on Cargocollective. I'm pretty sure Pete Michaud helped with making the website after looking at his other works on the site. I'm not entirely sure on Long Tran, though. Anyways, all I can do is thank them for their screenshots.
Here we see the splash page. I love how the splash page resembles the title screen for the game! So cute! :D
There is of course a how to play section, previews of some minigames, as well the famous Beyonce commericals! (Yes, this is real.)
The site also had the Rhythm Heaven Visualizer. It was a program that took audio files and put together a bunch of Rhythm Heaven characters dancing to the beat! How fun! It was lost media for a long time after the website was taken down in 2016, but thankfully was rediscovered and uploaded onto the Internet Archive in 2020. Linked is a video by EpicHaxGuy of this visualizer in action, using the first 15 minutes of the Fitness Gram Pacer Test.
We're still not done! You may have also noticed a new link in the links page. As the link name says, it's a website make to promote the Sega arcade cabinet. I haven't seen anyone talk about this site before!
similar to the GBA website, but this has more details to look at! The updates box is very cute, and I really like the background they used! When first making this site I wanted to have a background EXACTLY like this one! The current plain yellow one is actually a placeholder for now, so seeing this has inspired me to draw one for Gold Remix. On top there is the navigation on the site. You may notice the greyed out button in the top center. It seems to be for something called "Character Photobook", but unfortunately this was never made. I assume it would've been like the character profiles page on the GBA website.
Next is the extras page. Here, we get to see the promotional material made for Rhythm Tengoku that was only available in UFO catchers/claw machines. Man, I would kill one for these! (Hahaha...jk...O_o;) Turns out the hairs on the vegetable plushes are pullable! Just like in game!
Finally, we have the movie page! Here, we can watch what seems to be a trailer for the arcade machine! Let's we go!
Uhhhh.....
Yeah...Unfortunately, this video doesn't work. Even if you use a Flash player and view it on a browser that still supports Flash, the Wayback Machine doesn't seem to have to code for the Flash video. Bummer :[
Well, that's it for today! See you later everyone!
EDIT (1/9/2025): Great news! I went back to the site and got the flash videos to work! The videos are just footage of the minigames from set 1, both single player and two player. Glad I got it to work. You should be able to see it yourself using Ruffle.

I've posted this before on my Twitter, but since I don't use it anymore and the fact that Twitter isn't the best place to store information, I will be posting this stuff here.
Let's talk about the official Rhythm Tengoku website! It's a pretty normal site.
However, there is some things on this site that I haven't seen anyone else talk about. Some stuff on the website is flash content! Thankfully, there are browsers online that still support the use of Flash such as Waterfox, which is what I used for this. Let's start off with the personality quiz. There's a personality quiz on the site that says what kind of person you are. At least, that's what I think? It's in Japanese, obviously, and I can't read Japanese. I had to use Google Translate, which, as you will later see, isn't the best (though thats just a fact).
The quiz is hosted by multiple characters (but for some reason NOT Q Maou). It gives random questions which gets you different results everytime. The questions are surprisingly normal and don't really have much to do with rhythm. Below is the quiz, as well as some results.
Another thing I found was in the sections for news and updates. It has things that people already know: The soundtrack CD and the UFO catcher plushies. However, there's also a QR for a couple of Rhythm Heaven wallpapers! I'm not sure what device these were for. Hell, I may even be wrong about these being wallpapers! Sadly, scanning the QR code doesn't work, so I'm not sure how to get these. I think these are really cool, as I think this is the only time Cosmic Girl is shown without her hat!
Back to Flash, there are some demos on the site for the minigames! These demos aren't playable, though. They're just short gameplay videos. I'm kind of disappointed as it would've been fun to play Karate Man in browser!
Finally, lets talk about the Rhythm Heaven Megamix Japanese website! There's not much to see here, except for another quiz!!!! Q Maou must be so happy right now. It's another personality test, except here they give you a game to play based on what kind of person you are. In case you're curious, I got Clappy Trio! <( ̄︶ ̄)>
That's all for now! Goodbye and see you later!
Edit (2-6-2023): I just found out that the Rhythm Tengoku wallpapers are from Nintendo Mobile, a discontinued service that used i-Mode technology. Unfortunately, the service is discontinued and information is scarce. Thank you to beesnutz on Tumblr for telling me about i-Mode!
